Robinho got playing time in City's victory

29-12-2009
Argentinian Tevez is looking sharper than ever, as he scored twice against Wolves.

About half an hour into the game he struck the ball first time with his left foot, his shot took a lucky deflection off Craddock, flying past the keeper: 1-0 to Manchester City.

Bellamy should have extended City's lead three minutes into the second half. He accelerated away from his marker and beat the oncoming Hahnemann to the ball. He poked the ball past the keeper, aiming his shot for the far corner, but he missed. Man City extended their lead in the 69th minute with a stunning effort, as substitute Javier Garrido curled the ball around the blind side of the wall and into the bottom left-hand corner of the net: 2-0 to Manchester City.

City scored a third in the 86th minute, with Tevez scoring his second of the game. Robinho came off the bench to assist, crossing the ball from the right, Tevez got the ball on the edge of the box and moved to his left. He then smashed the ball back across goal into the bottom right-hand corner: 3-0 to Manchester City.

Robinho himself came close to scoring a fourth goal in stoppage time. He picked up the ball in the left-hand side of the penalty area and cut back onto his left foot and aimed his shot towards the top right-hand corner of the goal. He was very unlucky not to score, missing the target by inches.

Fobazo Comment:
Mancini looks like the perfect choice for Man. City and for Robinho. Even though the Brazilian only got about 5 minutes on the pitch, he assisted a goal and came very close. Just imagine what he can do in 90 minutes!
