In Sundays match against Hull manager Mark Hughes opted for Robinho as team leader because regular captain Richard Dunne was suspended for the game.

ïI thought Robinho responded well, but I had seen good signs against Spurs. He enjoyed it, enjoyed meeting the referee beforehand and it was something I think he deserved it,ï said Mark Hughes.

The match at the KC Stadium in Hull ended in a 2-2 draw with Hull scoring the first goal through Daniel Cousin in the 14. minute and after Stephen Ireland with two goals before the break gave Manchester City a 2-1 lead. Brazilian Geovani equalized for Hull in the second half on a free kick.

ïToday Robinho was always available, great on the ball and I think he led from the front. Heïs a great player, but what I donït think he gets credit for is that he is brave and determined, and he wants to win with Manchester City. That was evident in his performance today,ï said Mark Hughes.

Manchester City are still only one point above the relegation zone after 13 rounds and play next Saturday at home against Arsenal.
